Cloud Solutions Engineer (Pre-Sales / AWS / Government)

About the Role

We are looking for a Cloud Solutions Engineer to support pre-sales activities and solution design for government cloud projects. You will work closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to design AWS-based solutions, run proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and demonstrate technical feasibility to stakeholders.

• Working Location: Punggol
• Salary Package: Up to $10,000 (basic) + AWS
• Job Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Design and present AWS cloud solutions for government customers
• Support pre-sales activities including solutioning, demos, and technical proposals
• Build and deliver proof-of-concept (PoC) environments
• Translate business and technical requirements into cloud architectures
• Work with architects and engineers to ensure scalable and secure designs
• Support responses to RFPs/RFIs and technical documentation
• Engage with government stakeholders to understand requirements and constraints
• Ensure solutions align with security, compliance, and cloud governance standards

Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in cloud engineering or solutions architecture
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services
• Experience in solution design, pre-sales, or technical consulting
• Good understanding of cloud architecture (networking, compute, storage, security)
• Experience building demos or PoC environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Familiarity with government or regulated environments is a plus

Nice to Have

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps, etc.)
• Experience with container platforms (Kubernetes, ECS, EKS)
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (CI/CD, Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Experience working with enterprise or public sector clients
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
