To fully manage procurement activities by sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices, analyzing data to solve purchasing challenges, preparing purchase orders, estimating material needs, and monitoring inventory to ensure timely availability
- Locate and evaluate sources of supply to secure competitive prices for purchasing
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best bids and terms for materials
- Analyze procurement information and evaluate results to select optimal purchasing solutions and resolve issues
- Prepare, review, and process requisitions and purchase orders accurately and timely
- Estimate material quantities to forecast present and future availability needs
- Monitor inventory movement and initiate material orders to maintain adequate stock levels
- Work independently to organize procurement tasks and communicate effectively to achieve purchasing goals
- Apply initiative and critical thinking to improve procurement processes and outcomes
- Adapt to changes and new responsibilities with flexibility and diligence
