Receiving Clerk [Hotel/ Central]

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm
Our client is a leading global hospitality company. They are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to support the smooth flow of goods and inventory operations. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring materials are properly stored and distributed to support daily hotel operations.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Inspection
- Receive and inspect incoming deliveries to ensure items meet quantity, quality, and purchase order requirements.
- Verify delivery documents and report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure goods are accurately checked and distributed to the appropriate departments or storage locations.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve delivery-related issues.
Inventory & Stock Control
- Record all inventory movements accurately within the system.
- Maintain proper stock records and support inventory tracking activities.
- Assist with regular stock takes, cycle counts, and inventory audits.
- Monitor inventory levels and highlight low-stock items when necessary.
Warehouse & Storage Operations
- Organise and store goods safely and efficiently in designated storage areas.
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and accessibility of storerooms and receiving areas.
- Handle returns, transfers, and movement of materials according to established procedures.
- Ensure proper stock rotation and storage practices are followed.
Documentation & Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate records of delivery orders, invoices, inventory transactions, and related documentation.
- Update inventory and receiving information in a timely manner.
- Support procurement and finance teams with inventory reports and documentation.
- Ensure all records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
Coordination & Compliance
- Work closely with Procurement, Finance, Kitchen, and operational departments to ensure timely supply of goods.
- Adhere to company policies, inventory procedures, and operational standards.
- Maintain a safe working environment and comply with workplace safety regulations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, or storekeeping is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and stock control processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling documentation and stock records.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Physically fit and comfortable handling goods and deliveries.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
