Job Description
Period: 3 Months
Role: Social Media Manager (Freelance)
Key Responsibilities
This is a freelance, primarily remote-based role. Attendance at the office is only required for filming sessions or when otherwise requested.
Meet a minimum KPI of four (4) published videos per week across the Company's social media platforms.
Manage and maintain the Company's social media content calendar across designated platforms.
Plan, storyboard, film, edit, and publish social media content for both organic and sponsored campaigns.
Develop creative content ideas and concepts that align with the Company's brand, objectives, and audience.
Coordinate filming schedules with the Company's co-founders and manage content production timelines.
Execute the end-to-end content creation process, including pre-production planning, filming, editing, caption writing, and publishing.
Work closely with the co-founders to translate content ideas into engaging and platform-appropriate content.
Manage sponsored content deliverables and ensure all brand requirements, timelines, and content guidelines are met.
Maintain an organised library of content assets, footage, and project files.
Monitor social media trends and recommend content opportunities to improve engagement and audience growth.
Track content performance and provide recommendations for ongoing content optimisation.
Ensure all content is delivered and published in a timely, professional, and brand-aligned manner.
Key Skills and Attributes
Strong understanding of social media platforms, content formats, and current content trends.
Creative mindset with the ability to generate fresh and engaging content ideas.
Ability to storyboard and translate content concepts into engaging social media videos.
Experience filming content using cameras, smartphones, and related production equipment.
Familiarity with the use of lighting, audio equipment, and basic production setups to ensure high-quality content.
Proficiency in video editing software such as CapCut or equivalent professional editing tools.
Good organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple content pieces and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong communication and coordination skills, particularly when working with multiple stakeholders and scheduling filming sessions.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering polished, high-quality content.
Ability to work independently while taking direction and feedback
Preferred Experience
Prior experience managing social media accounts for brands, agencies, creators, or businesses.
Experience producing short-form content for platforms such as Instagram Reels and TikTok.
Experience using cameras, microphones, lighting equipment, and other content production tools.
