Senior/ Staff Nurse (Inpatient)

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized and safe nursing care services, ensuring all practices meet established standards.

• Uphold high standards in documentation, treatment, patient monitoring, and infection control.

• Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and caregivers to build strong relationships.

• Coordinate patient care in collaboration with advising physicians, providing direct care and evaluation of patient conditions.

• Participate in Multidisciplinary Team meetings to enhance the delivery of services.

• Ensure compliance with organizational and legal standards regarding drug and medical supply management.

• Report any incidents to the Nurse Manager / Nurse Clinician to maintain patient safety.

• Maintain accurate documentation and collation of patient data, including referrals and attendances.

• Monitor and evaluate patient conditions to implement effective care plans and support families during advanced illness.

• Administer medications and conduct wound dressing as required.

• Ensure continuity of care and observe proper use and maintenance of medical equipment and consumables.

• Uphold confidentiality and discretion in all patient care matters.

• Foster a safe and conducive patient care environment.

• Mentor junior staff to promote performance excellence and career growth.

• Adhere to the Singapore Nursing Board's Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.

• Stay informed on updated industry guidelines and develop necessary skills.

• Maintain high standards of workplace organization and hygiene.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the work area.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution and registered with the Nursing Board.

• Preferably possesses post-registration experience in a hospital or hospice setting.

• Familiarity with IT systems is advantageous.

• Demonstrated passion for providing exceptional patient service.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Proven ability to work effectively within a team and perform under pressure.
