Senior/ Staff Nurse (Inpatient)

Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized and safe nursing care services, ensuring all practices meet established standards.
- Uphold high standards in documentation, treatment, patient monitoring, and infection control.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and caregivers to build strong relationships.
- Coordinate patient care in collaboration with advising physicians, providing direct care and evaluation of patient conditions.
- Participate in Multidisciplinary Team meetings to enhance the delivery of services.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and legal standards regarding drug and medical supply management.
- Report any incidents to the Nurse Manager / Nurse Clinician to maintain patient safety.
- Maintain accurate documentation and collation of patient data, including referrals and attendances.
- Monitor and evaluate patient conditions to implement effective care plans and support families during advanced illness.
- Administer medications and conduct wound dressing as required.
- Ensure continuity of care and observe proper use and maintenance of medical equipment and consumables.
- Uphold confidentiality and discretion in all patient care matters.
- Foster a safe and conducive patient care environment.
- Mentor junior staff to promote performance excellence and career growth.
- Adhere to the Singapore Nursing Board's Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
- Stay informed on updated industry guidelines and develop necessary skills.
- Maintain high standards of workplace organization and hygiene.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution and registered with the Nursing Board.
- Preferably possesses post-registration experience in a hospital or hospice setting.
- Familiarity with IT systems is advantageous.
- Demonstrated passion for providing exceptional patient service.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team and perform under pressure.
