Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Work with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to clearly define the project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Determine the required manpower, materials, and equipment needed for the project and plan their allocation throughout the project phases.
- Oversee the project lifecycle, ensuring all parties adhere to their obligations and resolve any disputes or changes to the contract.
- Lead the project team, including site supervisors, engineers, and other technical staff, ensuring that everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
- Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering a positive working environment and encouraging professional development.
- Coordinate the activities of all stakeholders (contractors, suppliers, consultants, etc.), ensuring alignment and communication between teams.
- Regularly visit the construction site to monitor progress, quality, and safety. Ensure that work is being carried out according to design plans and specifications.
- Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues that arise on-site, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Monitor project costs and track expenditures against the budget. Identify cost overruns and implement corrective actions to stay within budget.
- Coordinate with the quantity surveyor to prepare and review progress claims, ensuring accurate reporting of completed work for payment purposes.
- Evaluate change orders (variations) to the project scope, assess their impact on cost and schedule, and negotiate with clients and contractors as necessary.
- Ensure that construction activities comply with environmental laws and regulations, such as managing waste and controlling emissions or pollutants.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
- Prepare and present detailed progress reports, outlining project status, upcoming milestones, risks, and financial performance.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 10-15 years of construction site experience
- Proven experience in construction and site supervision.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of construction methods and safety practices
