About the Job

  • Application Processing: Evaluate inbound insurance submissions and screen documentation for accuracy and regulatory alignment.

  • Risk Evaluation: Gather critical risk data, analyze financial records, and perform initial background reviews to support senior underwriters.

  • System Management: Log and update account details, policy terms, and premium changes within internal underwriting databases.

  • Policy Issuance: Draft formal quotes, binders, and final insurance policy documentation in accordance with strict corporate guidelines.

  • Broker Relations: Serve as a reliable administrative point of contact for external brokers to resolve general inquiries and missing file information.

  • Portfolio Monitoring: Assist in tracking account renewals, analyzing loss histories, and flagging potential risk changes.

  • Reporting & Compliance: Generate recurring production logs, track premium targets, and ensure all files meet internal audit standards.

Skills and Requirements

  • Prior experience providing administrative support within commercial insurance or an underwriting environment.

  • Strong attention to detail for verifying financial data, reviewing policy applications, and drafting documentation.

  • Effective communication skills to collaborate efficiently with internal teams and external brokerage partners.

  • Proficient in managing databases, navigating policy administration systems, and organizing digital files.

  • Capability to balance competing deadlines while maintaining high accuracy in data entry and reporting.
