Plant Engineer (Mechanical)

Work Location: Jurong Island | Company transport provided

Work Hour: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM

Salary: Basic up to $4,500/month (depending on experience)

Job Description

• Plan and carry out preventive maintenance programs to keep plant equipment running reliably
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment breakdowns and carry out root cause analysis to prevent repeat failures
• Develop and maintain maintenance schedules, procedures, and equipment records
• Manage mechanical engineering projects from planning through to completion, on time and within budget
• Supervise contractors and vendors performing maintenance and project work on site
• Ensure all equipment and systems meet statutory inspection, certification, and safety compliance requirements
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades or improvements to boost efficiency
• Support production operations by providing technical solutions and engineering expertise
• Manage maintenance costs and identify opportunities to reduce spending and improve processes
• Liaise with internal teams and headquarters on equipment issues and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, reliability, or plant engineering
• Background in chemical, petrochemical, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or heavy industrial environments preferred
• Hands-on experience with rotating and motorized equipment troubleshooting and servicing
• Familiar with preventive maintenance planning, root cause analysis, and overhaul procedures
• Able to read P&ID drawings and proficient in Microsoft Office
