Business Development Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive business growth and expand our client base within the construction industry. The ideal candidate should possess strong industry knowledge, particularly in steel structure construction and plumbing works, with proven experience in identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and securing projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Singapore's construction industry.
• Strong experience in steel structure construction and plumbing projects.
• Good understanding of local construction regulations, industry practices, and project tendering processes.
• Established network with developers, consultants, main contractors, and industry stakeholders in Singapore.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to prepare business proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the construction sector.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and government agencies.
• Source and secure projects related to steel structure construction and plumbing works.
• Prepare and submit tenders, quotations, and business proposals.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with clients.
• Collaborate with project and engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Achieve company sales and business development targets.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with steel fabrication, steel structure installation, plumbing, and M&E-related projects.
• Familiarity with Singapore construction market and local authority requirements.
• Possess Class 3 driving licence (preferred).
