Job Responsibilities
General Cleaning Duties
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
- Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
- Clean windows, glass panels, and mirrors.
- Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste properly.
- Clean and sanitize toilets, washrooms, and common areas.
- Replenish consumables such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels.
Maintenance of Cleanliness
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards at assigned premises.
- Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are properly stored after use.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Follow cleaning schedules and standard operating procedures.
Handling Cleaning Equipment
- Operate cleaning tools and equipment safely, including vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and polishing machines.
- Use cleaning chemicals according to safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition.
Workplace Safety
- Follow workplace safety and health regulations.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
- Ensure work areas remain safe and free from hazards during cleaning activities.
Other Duties
- Assist with ad-hoc cleaning tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Support deep-cleaning activities during special events or periodic maintenance.
- Cooperate with clients and colleagues to ensure a clean and pleasant environment.
Requirements
- Physically fit and able to perform manual cleaning tasks.
- Responsible, punctual, and hardworking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime when required.
- Prior cleaning experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
