IT Manager (Maritime)

Responsibilities

  1. Lead the implementation, integration, and deployment of SaaS platforms across the ship management organization, including fleet operations, procurement, crewing, finance, and maintenance systems.
  2. Develop and execute the company's IT and digital transformation roadmap aligned with business objectives and operational requirements.
  3. Manage end-to-end SaaS projects, including vendor selection, contract negotiations, implementation planning, testing, user acceptance, and post-go-live support.
  4. Collaborate with vessel management, technical, marine, crewing, HSSEQ, and finance departments to identify process improvement opportunities and digital solutions.
  5. Ensure seamless integration between SaaS applications, ERP systems, third-party platforms, and onboard vessel systems.
  6. Establish cybersecurity policies, data governance frameworks, and compliance standards to protect company and vessel operational data.
  7. Manage IT infrastructure, cloud services, networks, communication systems, and end-user support across offices and vessels.
  8. Monitor SaaS performance, system availability, user adoption, and vendor service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure operational excellence.
  9. Lead IT budgeting, software licensing, vendor management, and technology procurement activities while optimizing technology investments.
  10. Build, mentor, and manage the IT team while driving user training, change management initiatives, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  2. Minimum 8 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role leading SaaS implementation or digital transformation projects.
  3. Experience within ship management, shipping, maritime, logistics, offshore, or related industries is highly preferred.
  4. Strong knowledge of SaaS platforms, cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud), system integration, cybersecurity, and project management methodologies.
  5. Proven stakeholder management, leadership, communication, and vendor management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced maritime environment.
