Job Summary:
Experienced Mechanical Engineer to manage site coordination and ensure quality installation for district cooling building services projects.
Responsibilities
- Oversee site coordination and resolve technical issues with clients and stakeholders
- Apply engineering expertise to ensure compliance with building services codes and standards
- Ensure quality of materials and installations by suppliers and subcontractors in line with ISO requirements
- Monitor and control supplier materials, equipment, and subcontractor installation quality
- Prepare and coordinate shop drawings and technical documentation
- Develop work schedules and attend client and internal meetings
- Support project manager on daily operations, including planning, quality, and safety management
- Coordinate closely with main contractors to prevent rework and delays
- Manage site materials and equipment to minimize wastage
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to mitigate delivery delays and ensure progress
- Inspect works to identify and address non-conformance issues
- Explore and implement new technologies and installation methods to improve productivity
- Track site progress and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders
Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a contractor environment
- Experience in district cooling or chiller systems
- Knowledge of ISO 9000, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards
- Certified ISO Internal Quality Auditor is an added advantage
- Building Construction Safety Supervisor course certification is an added advantage
