Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker to support the delivery of a Social Emotional Support Programme for Primary 4 and Primary 5 students. The successful candidate will design and facilitate restorative practice programmes, engage parents and teachers, and support students in developing positive relationships, self-regulation skills, and conflict resolution strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Student Engagement

  • Design and deliver restorative practice programmes for Primary 4 and Primary 5 students.

  • Facilitate classroom-based sessions focused on:

    • Positive peer relationships

    • Empathy development

    • Emotional regulation

    • Conflict resolution

  • Monitor student participation and progress.

Parent Engagement

  • Meet and engage parents regarding student development and behavioural concerns.

  • Provide recommendations and strategies to support social-emotional growth at home.

  • Facilitate restorative conversations involving students, parents, and school stakeholders when required.

Teacher Collaboration

  • Work closely with Form Teachers and Subject Teachers.

  • Share observations and recommend intervention strategies.

  • Support teachers in implementing restorative approaches within the classroom.

  • Participate in discussions and conferences involving students, parents, and school personnel when necessary.

Programme Administration

  • Prepare lesson plans, training materials, and session reports.

  • Track programme outcomes and student engagement.

  • Submit progress updates and documentation as required by the school.

Requirements

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.

  • Registered with the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW).

  • Minimum 2 years of experience conducting restorative practice or restorative approach programmes.

  • Experience working with children and youth preferred.

  • Ability to engage students, parents, and teachers effectively.

  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a school environment.

Working Schedule

  • Fridays: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)

  • No work required on Saturdays, Sundays, and Singapore gazetted public holidays.
