Beverage Application Specialist (Energy)

Your Responsibilities

The Beverage Application / Product Development Specialist is responsible for developing beverage formulations and applications that meet customer requirements, market needs, and business objectives. This role supports product development activities from concept through commercialization, including laboratory trials, prototyping, troubleshooting, product evaluations, and technical support for customer projects.

The role requires close collaboration with Technical teams, Internal Marketing, Key Account teams, and In-country Market Managers to deliver high-quality beverage solutions and support key customer accounts across the region.

• Involve in tracking the latest beverage product/food service trends related to market dynamic and category segment to understand market landscape
• Develop and prototype beverage formulations across various categories, including energy drinks, sports drinks, carbonated beverages, juices, dairy beverages, teas, functional drinks, and other beverage applications.
• Optimize formulations for taste, stability, cost-effectiveness, ingredient functionality, processing performance, and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct bench-top and pilot-scale trials to evaluate product performance, ingredient functionality, and application suitability.
• Provide technical expertise and application support for beverage projects from concept development through commercialization.
• Deliver full turnkey beverage solutions to key account customers, including formulation development, application support, and troubleshooting.
• Support Key Account Managers and Market Managers with technical input, product demonstrations, formulation recommendations, and customer project requirements.
• Conduct qualitative evaluations, product investigations, troubleshooting, and corrective actions to support customer and internal projects.
• Troubleshoot formulation, processing, stability, and quality-related issues as required.
• Conduct and coordinate internal product evaluations, tasting sessions, and technical discussions.
• Ensure accurate documentation of formulations, laboratory trials, test results, project updates, and technical findings.
• Manage multiple projects effectively, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
• Work closely with Technical teams, Internal Marketing, and In-country Market Managers to align product solutions with customer expectations and business goals.
• Support quality investigations and provide recommendations for corrective and preventive actions when needed.
• Follow all laboratory safety, quality, hygiene, and housekeeping procedures.
• Maintain the laboratory, equipment, and healthy stock levels of food ingredients to support ongoing development work.

Your Profile

• Tertiary or Bachelor degree in food science or related field
• 3 to 5 years related experience, in beverage application development.
• Hands-on development experience required.
• Knowledgeable in beverage production processes with production and/or Industry experience.
• Experience with energy drinks, functional Beverages, powder drinks will be an advantage.
