R&D Specialist
PERSOL
We are seeking a dedicated R&D Specialist to advance innovative waste treatment solutions while enhancing sustainability. The role involves collaboration across teams to drive development and implementation of effective recovery processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop, assess, and refine treatment and handling processes for diverse waste streams, ensuring technical feasibility and cost efficiency.
- Design and implement resource recovery processes to promote sustainability and add value.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze waste sources, uncover treatment opportunities, assist in commercialization, and execute pilot trials.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies and processes through partnerships with external entities, including academic institutions and technology providers.
- Enhance laboratory capabilities by establishing process development and analytical methods to support research and development activities.
- Drive ongoing improvement of existing operations through process optimization and alternative treatment methods.
- Ensure adherence to internal protocols, documentation standards, and safety, health, and environmental regulations; maintain proper laboratory conditions.
- Assist in formulating handling procedures for high-risk and high-value waste streams.
- Participate in new business development by identifying opportunities and supporting project initiatives, including facility planning and operations.
- Remain informed about industry developments and emerging technologies, introducing relevant innovations.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in specialty chemical manufacturing, oil and gas, or water treatment.
- Results-oriented with a proven ability to meet targets through individual and collaborative efforts.
- Strong analytical skills coupled with effective communication abilities.
