Trainee Fuel Testing Laboratory Technician

Job Description:

• Assist in performing testing of marine fuels, lubricating oils, and other petroleum products in accordance with ISO, ASTM, and other relevant international standard test methods.
• Carry out daily quality control checks and maintain laboratory data records and worksheets.
• Work closely with Laboratory Technicians in the development of testing procedures, operational protocols, and in-house methods.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and housekeeping of chemicals and glassware, and assist in maintaining laboratory and testing equipment.
• Support procurement activities by liaising with suppliers on purchasing matters when required.
• Ensure laboratory safety procedures and equipment are properly maintained and comply with required standards.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level, ITE or equivalent qualification.

• Fresh candidates with no prior experience are encouraged to apply. Previous experience in a testing laboratory, within the Oil & Gas industry, will be considered an added advantage.

• Willing to learn, take responsibility, and work independently to meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to work beyond office hours when required.
• A strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
