As an Engineering Systems Development Intern, you will support the Development Process Engineering (DPE) team in building digital tools that enhance engineering workflows, visibility, and operational efficiency. You will contribute to dashboards, workflow systems, and visualization platforms that support digitalization initiatives in an industrial environment.
Our Team
You will be part of the Development Process Engineering (DPE) team in Molex Singapore, collaborating with digitalization, operations excellence, and cross‑functional engineering and production teams.
What You Will Do
- Design and develop user-friendly interfaces for engineering and workflow management systems
- Build dashboards and visualization tools to improve usability and workflow efficiency
- Work with engineering teams to translate technical requirements into intuitive user experiences
- Enhance data visualization, filtering, and navigation for engineering applications
- Support prototyping and continuous improvement of internal digital tools
- Contribute to UI consistency and overall user experience optimization
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, UI/UX Design, Information Systems, or related field
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or frontend fundamentals
- Basic understanding of APIs, databases, or backend integration
- Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Able to translate technical requirements into user-friendly solutions
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with PowerApps, Power Automate, or dashboard development tools
- Exposure to frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Streamlit, Dash) or Python-based applications
- Interest in UI/UX design and engineering systems
- Ability to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience through internships or academic projects in UI/UX or data visualization
