Carpentry Manager

We are seeking an experienced Carpentry Manager to oversee our workshop fabrication and on-site installations. You will lead a team of skilled carpenters, manage project timelines, ensure strict quality control, and coordinate directly with clients and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise, schedule, and allocate daily tasks to a team of in-house carpenters and subcontractors.
- Project Oversight: Manage carpentry projects from raw material procurement through to final on-site installation.
- Drawing Interpretation: Review and interpret architectural blueprints, structural drawings, and detailed workshop shop drawings.
- Cost & Material Control: Conduct material take-offs, manage project budgets, and minimize material wastage.
- Client Liaison: Attend site meetings and coordinate closely with clients, main contractors, designers, and quantity surveyors.
- Safety & Quality: Enforce Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and ensure all finished work meets premium aesthetic and structural standards. [1, 2, 3]
Job Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of hands-on experience in carpentry, joinery, or interior fit-outs.
- Management: At least 5–8 years of proven experience in a supervisory, foreman, or managerial role.
- Education: Trade Certificate, Diploma in Construction Management, or equivalent vocational training.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating material costs, reading complex drawings, and basic computer skills (MS Office/AutoCAD is a plus).
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, excellent problem-solving abilities, and professional communication skills.
