Job Summary

Neighbourhood Home Support Associates provide practical housekeeping services to help elderly residents maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment through hands-on household tasks.

Responsibilities

• Wipe tables, counters, shelves, and accessible surfaces to maintain cleanliness
• Sweep and mop assigned floor areas to ensure safe, clean walking paths
• Clean toilets, sinks, and accessible bathroom areas to uphold hygiene standards
• Perform basic laundry tasks including loading, hanging, folding, and organizing laundry
• Assist with basic kitchen cleaning and general tidying to support household upkeep
• Keep walking paths clear and safe for elderly residents to prevent hazards
• Follow assigned task lists and instructions from BUTLER Housekeeping operations accurately
• Report safety concerns, hazards, unclear instructions, or issues promptly to supervisors
• Maintain client privacy and demonstrate professional conduct in private home settings

Required competencies and certifications

• Comfortable performing household cleaning tasks including toilet cleaning
• Willingness to work inside elderly residents’ homes
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as wiping, sweeping, mopping, and tidying
• Respectful, patient, and professional behavior in private home environments
• Ability to travel to assigned homes as required
• Ability to follow safety rules and avoid unsafe tasks such as dangerous climbing or heavy lifting alone
• Must not perform nursing, medical care, bathing, feeding, medication handling, personal care, or elder-minding duties

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping, cleaning, hospitality, home care, or service roles
• Basic communication skills in English; knowledge of Mandarin, Malay, Tamil, or dialects is useful but not compulsory

Other Information

Salary SGD $1,800 to $2,250 per month, depending on rostered hours, attendance, availability, assignments, and operational requirements.
