About the Role
We are an expanding business looking for detail-oriented individuals to join our growing semiconductor technical team. In this role, you will work in a cleanroom environment, using precision tools to maintain and repair the micro-hardware used to test microchips.
Because we are scaling up, you will get excellent hands-on exposure and the opportunity to grow with the company. This role operates primarily on a standard office-hour schedule, but requires flexibility to rotate for night coverage when operational demands increase. Fresh ITE and Polytechnic Diploma graduates are highly encouraged to apply! Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.
Working Hours & Shift Flexibility
Standard Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week).
Night Shift Coverage: Required to rotate or cover ad-hoc night shifts (e.g., 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM or 12-hour coverage) on an as-needed basis depending on testing schedules and production spikes. Adequate advance notice and transition rest periods will be given.
Allowances & Pay: Standard night shift allowances apply when activated for night work. Any working hours exceeding 44 hours in a week will be compensated with overtime pay as per Ministry of Manpower (MOM) guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, clean, and align micro-scale probe needles using high-powered microscopes.
Perform preventive maintenance and intricate manual repairs on various probe cards.
Use multimeters and precision measurement tools to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
Strictly adhere to cleanroom protocols and safety guidelines.
Maintain accurate daily documentation of repairs and parts inventory.
Work closely with the team to ensure testing equipment is ready for production.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Minimum Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Electronics, Mechatronics, Microelectronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 0 to 3 years of experience. Fresh graduates are welcome!
Flexibility: Must be willing and able to occasionally rotate to night shifts when required by the business.
Skills:
Steady hands and excellent hand-eye coordination for micro-scale, high-precision work.
Basic understanding of electronic schematics and hand tools (e.g., tweezers, soldering irons).
Attributes: Highly meticulous, patient, and able to work independently.
Comfortable wearing a cleanroom suit (smock/bunny suit) for extended periods.
