About the role:
SMITECH is seeking reliable and safety-conscious Drivers to support transport operations for a main contractor construction project in Singapore.

The role will be responsible for the safe and timely pick-up and drop-off of workers, employees, project personnel and client guests between designated locations, project sites, offices, dormitories, transport nodes and other assigned destinations.

This project role is to be based on site on a 5.5-day rostered work week, with 12-hour day shift from 7.00am to 7.00pm, inclusive of scheduled breaks and subject to operational transport roster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive company-assigned vehicles safely and responsibly for daily project transport requirements.
  • Pick up and drop off workers, employees, project personnel and client guests according to approved schedules and routes.
  • Support transport arrangements between site, office, dormitory, MRT points, meeting locations and other assigned project locations.
  • Ensure punctual arrival, safe driving practices and proper coordination with project teams, supervisors and HR/admin personnel.
  • Conduct basic daily vehicle checks, including fuel, tyre condition, lights, brakes, cleanliness and general roadworthiness.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, safety and proper condition of assigned vehicle.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, incidents, traffic issues or route delays promptly to the reporting supervisor.
  • Assist with simple loading, unloading or delivery of project documents, small tools, materials or equipment where required.
  • Maintain proper trip records, mileage logs, parking receipts, fuel records and vehicle-related documentation.
  • Follow site safety, security, access control and client requirements when entering project locations.
  • Provide courteous and professional service when transporting employees, workers, guests and client representatives.
  • Support other transport or admin duties assigned by the project team.

Requirements

  • Valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence.
  • Preferably with valid vocational licence where applicable to the assigned vehicle type, such as PDVL or BDVL.
  • Prior experience as a company driver, project driver, site driver, shuttle driver, transport driver or operations driver will be an advantage.
  • Familiar with Singapore roads, construction site access procedures and safe driving practices.
  • Able to work on a 5.5-day rostered work week and 12-hour day shift from 7.00am to 7.00pm.
  • Able to communicate clearly with workers, employees, project teams and visitors for daily transport coordination.
  • Good attendance, punctuality, discipline and sense of responsibility.
  • Patient, service-oriented and safety-conscious when transporting workers, staff and guests.
  • Able to support early reporting, route changes and transport schedule adjustments based on project needs.
  • Basic ability to maintain vehicle records, trip logs, parking/fuel records and simple transport documentation.
  • Candidates with experience supporting construction, M&E, infrastructure, facilities management or project site operations will be preferred.
