Murex Back Office Consultant

[Job Responsibilities]
- System Configuration and Implementation: Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Murex Back Office workflows, including Contract, Event, Deliverable, and Exchange Workflows, to meet business requirements.
- Business Analysis and Solution Design: Act as the liaison between business stakeholders (including Operations and Treasury) and IT teams. Conduct user requirement workshops, document functional and technical specifications, and propose robust solutions.
- MxML Integration and Reporting: Utilize MxML Exchange to create and enhance interfaces for system integration, data import/export, and communication with upstream and downstream systems. Develop and maintain Datamart reports and custom extractions.
- Production Support and Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level support for Murex Back Office modules. Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues related to confirmations, settlements, payments, netting, fixing, and accounting.
- Upgrade and Enhancement Management: Assist in Murex upgrade projects by performing impact analysis, conducting upgrade-related testing and reconciliation, and implementing new features.
- Regulatory and Compliance Expertise: Ensure all back-office processes and configurations adhere to regulatory requirements, such as SWIFT formats (MT and ISO20022), OSP, and other market standards.
- User Training and Mentorship: Develop and conduct training sessions for back-office users on Murex functionalities. Mentor junior analysts and team members.
- Test Management: Lead or assist in the preparation and execution of system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT), including writing test cases and obtaining user sign-offs
[Job Requirements]
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience with Murex MX.3, specifically focusing on the Back Office and Operations streams.
- Functional Expertise: In-depth knowledge of capital markets products, including FX, Money Markets (MM), Interest Rate Derivatives (IRD), Equities, and Fixed Income.
- Murex Modules: Strong practical knowledge of Murex Back Office modules, workflows (Contract, Event, Deliverable, Exchange), MxML Exchange, and Datamart.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Unix/Linux shell scripting, XML, and other relevant technologies for troubleshooting and development.
- Financial Market Concepts: A solid understanding of the front-to-back trade lifecycle, confirmation, settlement, and payment concepts.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify the conditions that create errors and drive issue resolution.
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)
- Experience with Murex implementation.
- Knowledge of collateral activities, margin, and credit risk.
- Familiarity with Agile or DevOps methodologies.
