Senior Executive, Inventory Control

Join a dynamic team where you will play a key role in maintaining effective inventory control and ensuring accurate stock verification across various locations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc stock counts at retail outlets, warehouses, and restaurants.
  • Perform physical inventory counts and reconcile the results with system records.
  • Identify and report discrepancies in stock balances.
  • Validate inventory transactions including transfers, returns, wastage, breakage, and adjustments.
  • Maintain proper documentation and an audit trail for all inventory activities.
  • Support the preparation of basic cost and inventory usage reports.
  • Monitor actual versus expected inventory consumption and flag variances.
  • Perform initial validation of data and transactions for identified discrepancies.
  • Escalate material variances to the finance or management teams for further review.
  • Prepare inventory adjustment entries based on approved findings.
  • Ensure all adjustments are supported by proper documentation.
  • Maintain accuracy of inventory records in ERP/POS systems.
  • Support the implementation and adherence to inventory standard operating procedures and controls.
  • Highlight non-compliance and repeated control gaps.
  • Assist in strengthening stock handling and recording practices.
  • Maintain records of stock discrepancies and follow-up actions.
  • Support month-end and year-end stock count activities.
  • Liaise with warehouse, retail, and operational teams on inventory matters.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in inventory control, stock auditing, or operations (experience in retail or F&B is preferred).
  • Basic understanding of inventory management processes and controls.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/POS systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying and flagging variances.
  • Structured and disciplined approach to following processes and controls.
  • Good communication skills for liaising with operational and finance teams.
  • High level of integrity and accountability.
  • Willingness to travel between outlets and warehouses as required.
  • Hands-on attitude with the ability to work in operational environments.
