Responsibilities
- Attend to residents' individual dietary needs, ensuring compliance with prescribed diets and food texture standards.
- Prepare and cook balanced meals in alignment with recommendations from Dietitians.
- Engage with residents to understand their food preferences and fulfill their requests.
- Assist residents during dining, providing support with feeding when necessary.
- Conduct basic physiological monitoring of residents as assigned.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Supervise food preparation and storage, ensuring safe handling practices are maintained.
- Provide guidance on food-related matters, promoting best practices among the team.
- Participate in quality assurance audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to food service operations.
Requirements
- Minimum education level of Secondary School, ITE NITEC, or GCE 'N' Level.
- WSQ Food Safety Certification (or equivalent) is mandatory; WSQ Diploma in Food Services (Culinary Arts) is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in the food and beverage, hospitality, or culinary sector.
- Basic computer literacy and skills in IT applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Comprehensive understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Flexibility to work a 4-day work week, including weekends and public holidays, with a willingness to undertake rotating shifts.
- Ability to comply with PPE requirements during resident interactions and maintain professional appearance standards at all times.
