We are one of the largest one-stop Underground Utilities Infrastructure companies based in Singapore. We provide Underground Utilities Infrastructure construction and maintenance, sewer pipeline rehabilitation, road and airfield construction and maintenance as well as asphalt pre-mix production and construction waste recycling.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of infrastructure and utility projects. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with project managers, clients, government agencies, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The ideal candidate is organized, resourceful, and eager to develop their project management and engineering expertise in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of project scope, timelines, budgets, and objectives to support successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients to identify project requirements, scope, and deliverables.
  • Schedule, attend, and document meetings with stakeholders, clients, project teams, and management.
  • Obtain and maintain project-related approvals and permits from relevant authorities, including NCE, LTA, NParks, GTP, MPA, and LPB.
  • Coordinate with TPOM Officers and relevant authorities to ensure project compliance and smooth site operations.
  • Track permit validity and arrange timely renewals of approvals and licenses required for project execution.
  • Liaise with SP Group officers regarding work schedules, reinstatement activities, and project coordination matters.
  • Support Project Managers in project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Participate in project design and coordination meetings, providing recommendations for process and design improvements where applicable.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and resource utilization to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution and timely completion.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation, including reports, proposals, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for project-related communications and working groups.
  • Maintain accurate and organized project records and documentation.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor or Head of Department.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in project coordination, engineering, or construction projects is preferred.
  • Knowledge of local authority submissions and permit processes is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of SP Group procedures, utility coordination, and regulatory compliance within Singapore.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize work effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • A team player with strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Possession of a valid Class 2 or Class 3 driving licence will be an added advantage to support site mobility.
