BUILDING CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER

- Manage, design, develop, and maintain construction projects from conception through completion
- Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data including maps, reports, tests, drawings, photographs, and surveys
- Prepare detailed blueprints and designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Carry out technical and feasibility studies to assess project viability and structural integrity
- Assess potential risks, materials, and costs, and prepare accurate budget estimates
- Ensure projects comply with legal requirements, health and safety standards, and zoning regulations
- Liaise with architects, subcontractors, consultants, clients, and government officials throughout project lifecycle
- Monitor project progress and compile regular status reports
- Oversee and mentor staff while managing project resources and timelines
- Prepare and submit permit applications and technical documentation
- Develop comprehensive plans for repairs, maintenance, and replacement of existing infrastructure
- Perform quantity calculations and adjust designs for practical and budgetary purposes
- Inspect project sites to ensure compliance with codes and proper construction progress
