Teacher Aide (Discipline Support)

Employment Type: Contract
Contract Period: 3 August 2026 – 31 December 2027
Option to Extend: Up to 31 October 2028 (subject to school's discretion)

Job Purpose

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Teacher Aide to support the school's Discipline Team in maintaining a safe, positive, and conducive learning environment. The successful candidate will assist in student discipline management, student engagement, administrative duties, and operational support for school activities.

Key Responsibilities

Student Discipline Support

  • Monitor and track students who report late to school.
  • Manage records of students placed on detention or suspension.
  • Conduct patrols within and around the school compound during and after school hours.
  • Support investigations relating to student discipline cases.
  • Provide guidance and encouragement to students involved in discipline matters.
  • Assist in maintaining a positive and orderly school environment.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain accurate student discipline records and reports.
  • Prepare and update spreadsheets, documents, and correspondence.
  • Handle data entry and administrative tasks related to discipline management.
  • Liaise with teachers, parents, and students when required.

Operational & Event Support

  • Provide administrative and logistical support for school events and activities.
  • Assist with event coordination, preparation, and execution.

Working Hours

Monday & Wednesday

7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
(Inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)

Tuesday & Thursday

7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
(Inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)

Friday

7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
(Inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)

No work required on:

  • Saturdays
  • Sundays
  • Singapore Public Holidays
  • June School Holidays (2027 & 2028)
  • November & December School Holidays (2026 & 2027)

Requirements

Education

  • Minimum Secondary School education.

Experience

  • At least 1 year of experience working with students or teenagers.
  • Experience in discipline management, youth engagement, education support, or student care will be advantageous.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and teachers.

  • Good teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Technical Skills

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience working in schools, student care centres, youth organisations, or educational environments.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong observation and problem-solving abilities.
