Summary:
- This position combines the art of crafting specialty coffee beverages with the delightful task of serving premium ice cream and other frozen desserts. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, customer-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based drinks, including lattes, cappuccinos, and iced coffees.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines and other coffee equipment.
- Ice Cream Service:
- Scoop and serve ice cream
- Prepare and present ice cream creations with attention to detail and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized ice cream display case.
- Customer Service:
- Provide friendly, efficient, and attentive customer service.
- Take customer orders accurately and handle cash and card transactions.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Cafe Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the coffee bar, ice cream counter, and customer seating area.
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines.
- Perform opening and closing procedures.
- Teamwork:
- Work well with other cafe staff.
- Assist in other cafe duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous barista or customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system.
- A passion for coffee and ice cream.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Food handlers certification is required.
