Intellectual Property (IP) Manager

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive IP strategy aligned with business goals.
  2. Oversee patent filings, trademark registrations, and IP portfolio management across jurisdictions (Singapore, China, US, EU).
  3. Conduct prior art searches, freedom-to-operate analyses, and IP due diligence.
  4. Advise R&D and engineering teams on IP best practices and innovation documentation.
  5. Monitor competitor IP activity and manage IP-related litigation or disputes.

Qualifications

  1. Experience: Minimum 7 years in intellectual property management, preferably in the robotics, AI, or high-tech manufacturing sectors.
  2. Expertise: Strong knowledge of patent law, patent drafting, and prosecution processes. Experience with PCT applications is highly desirable.
  3. Technical Background: Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (combined with legal/IP qualifications is a strong plus).
  4. Industry Experience: Required – familiarity with the underwater robotics, autonomous systems, or maritime technology industry.
