Network Engineer Rotational Shift lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Wireless, and Security environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, and Fortinet technologies, and be responsible for ensuring network availability, performance, scalability, and security across enterprise and industrial environments.

This role requires expertise in routing, switching, wireless networking, firewall administration, network security, and troubleshooting complex network issues within mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

Network Design & Implementation

• Design, deploy, and support enterprise-scale LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and WLAN infrastructure.
• Implement Layer 2 and Layer 3 network architectures including switching, routing, and network segmentation.
• Configure and manage VLANs, VXLANs, trunking, STP, EtherChannel, and Inter-VLAN Routing.
• Deploy and maintain routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and static routing.
• Design and implement high-availability network solutions using HSRP, VRRP, and redundant network architectures.

Wireless Network Management

• Deploy and support enterprise wireless solutions using Cisco and Aruba technologies.
• Configure Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs), Access Points, and Mesh Networks.
• Conduct wireless site surveys, RF planning, heatmap analysis, and coverage optimization.
• Implement secure wireless authentication using 802.1X, RADIUS, and NAC solutions.

Network Security

• Configure and administer Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco ASA firewalls.
• Manage firewall policies, ACLs, NAT/PAT, VPNs, IPSec, SSL VPN, and site-to-site connectivity.
• Implement security controls including segmentation, threat prevention, IDS/IPS, URL filtering, and Zero Trust principles.
• Perform firewall rule reviews, security hardening, and compliance assessments.

Operations & Support

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 network support for critical enterprise environments.
• Perform network monitoring, incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
• Troubleshoot complex Layer 2, Layer 3, wireless, and security-related issues.
• Execute firmware upgrades, patch management, configuration backups, and system maintenance.
• Participate in change management and deployment activities following ITIL best practices.

Monitoring & Documentation

• Utilize monitoring and management platforms including Cisco DNA Center, Cisco Prime, Aruba AirWave, SolarWinds, and NMS tools.
• Perform packet capture analysis using Wireshark and network diagnostic tools.
• Maintain network documentation including topology diagrams, configuration standards, SOPs, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Conduct redundancy testing, failover validation, and business continuity exercises.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and project teams on network initiatives.
• Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and external partners for network deployments and issue resolution.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Network Engineering or Network Infrastructure Support.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, and Fortinet technologies.
• Solid understanding of LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, WLAN, TCP/IP, IPv4, and IPv6.
• Experience configuring routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and static routing.
• Expertise in switching technologies including VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, and Inter-VLAN Routing.
• Experience managing enterprise wireless networks and wireless controllers.
• Strong firewall administration experience including VPN, NAT, ACL, IPSec, and SSL VPN.
• Knowledge of network security best practices and enterprise security architecture.
• Familiarity with network monitoring, packet analysis, and troubleshooting tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Aruba ClearPass, Cisco DNA Center, Cisco Prime, and SolarWinds.
• Knowledge of industrial networks, manufacturing environments, or OT/PCN infrastructure.
• Exposure to VMware, Active Directory, RADIUS, TACACS+, and network access control solutions.
• Understanding of Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP).

Certifications (Preferred)

• CCNA / CCNP
• PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer)
• Aruba Certified Professional (ACP)
• Fortinet NSE Certifications
• MCSA or equivalent infrastructure certifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related discipline.
