The Role
We are seeking a proactive leader to partner with Rates & FX PMs across Asia-Pacific, driving business management, PM onboarding, business analytics, and cross-functional initiatives. This role combines strategic planning, operational execution, and data-driven insights toop timize performance, enhance efficiency, and support growth across the Asia Macro & Fixed Income platform. This person will act as the day-to-day business manager for Schonfeld's Macro & Fixed Income platform in Asia, covering Singapore, Hong Kong, and any future APAC locations. This role reports into the COO of DMFI.
What You'll Do
Business Management
· Act as a partner to Rates &FX PMs across Asia-Pacific, translating investment goals into resourcing, capital, and infrastructure plans.
· Develop and own the business plans for various strategic growth initiatives and PM builds in the region.
· Continuously analyze desk P&L, risk, liquidity, funding and balance-sheet usage; recommend actions to enhance returns and capital efficiency.
· Identify new product or market opportunities specific to Asia (e.g., CNH/CNY markets, Asian NDF flows, local government bond markets, SGD/HKD/KRW/INR derivatives) and drive approval /launch.
· Leverage AI and automation tools to streamline reporting, surface actionable insights, and enhance decision-making speed.
· Navigate Asia-specific regulatory environments and ensure business operations remain compliant.
PM Onboarding & Lifecycle Management
· Lead onboarding of new Macro/Fixed Income PM teams in Asia: capital allocation sizing, risk limits, market-data entitlements, trading-system connectivity, and broker relationships.
· Coordinate pre-launch testing, market data, and trading integrations for newly on-boarded PMs across Asian time zones.
· Serve as escalation point and "trusted advisor" to existing PMs for any trading, infrastructure or counterparty issues.
Business & Performance Analytics
· Design dashboards on KPIs and business metrics; present insights to PMs and senior management.
· Lead cost/benefit cases for data, analytics and technology spend; track realized savings and ROI.
· Deploy AI/ML-driven analytics to identify patterns in performance, risk, and cost data that inform strategic decisions.
Cross-Functional Leadership
· Lead strategic, cross-functional projects across operations, treasury, compliance, and technology—owning end-to-end delivery and change management.
· Run high-priority, cross-desk projects (e.g., Asia CCP onboarding, FX TCA implementation, intraday risk enhancements, local clearing mandates).
· Coordinate with Legal / Treasury on ISDA, CSA, give-ups and clearing mandates to support trading strategies across Asian jurisdictions.
· Collaborate closely with the North America and EMEA regional leads to ensure consistency of processes and best-practice sharing.
Vendor & Data Management
· Own the vendor lifecycle for trading and analytics platforms in Asia (contract negotiation, SLA governance, ongoing performance reviews).
· Stay abreast of emerging data/analytics and AI vendors in macro and fixed income and evaluate fit for the platform.
· Champion adoption of AI-powered tools (e.g., LLMs for research synthesis, NLP for news/sentiment, GenAI for workflow automation).
What You'll Bring
· 7-10+ years in business management / COO, product or trading-related role on the buy-side (hedge fund, asset manager) or sell-side fixed income business. Strong preference for candidates that have already been in broad business management roles within hedge fund platforms.
· Deep product knowledge across rates and FX cash & derivatives: government bonds, swaps, futures, options, swaptions, NDFs, forwards, cross-currency swaps, with strong knowledge of Asian rate and FX markets (CNH, SGD, KRW, INR, THB, etc.).
· Strong grasp of pricing, valuation, risk, funding & liquidity, margin and capital usage.
· Familiarity with Asia-specific regulatory frameworks (MAS, SFC, HKMA, JFSA) and local market conventions.
· Fluency with trading technologies: order & execution-management systems, market-data feeds.
· Advanced analytical toolkit—Excel/ VBA a must; Python, SQL or PowerBI strongly preferred.
· Hands-on experience with AI/ML tools and frameworks; demonstrated ability to apply generative AI, LLMs, or automation to business processes, analytics, or operational workflows.
· Proven ability to negotiate commercial terms with banks, venues and data providers.
· Exceptional project-management, prioritization and stakeholder-influencing skills; comfortable presenting to senior management.
· Highly organized, proactive and able to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-moving market environment.
· Impeccable integrity and discretion when handling sensitive trading and financial information.
· Ability to work across time zones and collaborate effectively with global counterparts.
