IT Support Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line user liaison and helpdesk support during office hours and after office hours if needed. Keeping user informed on request status and progress
  • Provide support to VoIP, network infrastructure on both Client’s Premises and Data Centre.
  • Troubleshooting Linux, Windows, network, and relevant infra stack.
  • Liaise with vendors and other functional teams for problem resolution.
  • Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies when required.
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Technical Skills-

  • Higher NITEC Certificate or Diploma in IT/Computer/Network or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of packet capture tools like tcpdump & Wireshark for troubleshooting server network issues.
  • Knowledge of basic VoIP Technologies such as SIP, WebRTC, RTP will be an advantage.
  • Basic networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP, NAT)
  • Knowledge of cloud Technologies / AWS will be an advantage
  • Ability to self-learn, acquire new skills, and support new systems and applications

  • Independent, passionate, resourceful and able to work with minimum supervision.
