Infrastructure Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain core IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, network, and virtualization platforms.
• Administer Windows/Linux servers and ensure high availability, performance, and security.
• Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including virtual networks, compute, identity, and monitoring.
• Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning to support business growth.
• Implement and manage backup, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity plans.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, network connectivity, and application issues.
• Automate infrastructure deployments using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or PowerShell.
• Collaborate with DevOps and security teams to ensure system compliance, patch management, and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
• Lead infrastructure projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to technical documentation and best practices.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements for efficiency, scalability, and cost optimization.

Technical Skills Required:

• Operating Systems: Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Cloud Platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP.
• Virtualization: VMware ESXi, vCenter, Hyper-V.
• Networking: LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
• Storage Systems: SAN/NAS management, RAID configuration, backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault).
• Automation Tools: Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python scripting.
• CI/CD & DevOps Tools: Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes (preferred).
• Monitoring Tools: Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor.
• Security: Endpoint protection, IAM, patch management, compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure management.
• Relevant certifications (preferred):
  AWS Certified SysOps Administrator / Solutions Architect
  Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
  Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) / Professional (CCNP)
  ITIL v4 Foundation
