Electrical Site Engineer – Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems on construction sites.

Ensure all electrical works comply with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.

Supervise the installation of lighting systems, power distribution systems, and low/high-voltage networks.

Monitor project progress and ensure works are completed according to approved schedules.

Coordinate with contractors, consultants, architects, and project managers to resolve technical and site-related issues.

Review and verify material specifications prior to procurement and installation.

Manage material deliveries, storage, and inventory to prevent shortages and wastage.

Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets project requirements.

Prepare and submit progress reports, site records, and project documentation.

Track material procurement status and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

Maintain and update as-built drawings and records of design changes.

Attend site meetings and provide technical support to project stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements and company procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • 2 to 5 years of relevant site experience, preferably with M&E contractors.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical installation, testing, and commissioning procedures.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other relevant engineering software.

  • Good understanding of local codes, standards, and safety regulations.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and capability to manage site challenges effectively.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple project priorities.
