Safety Officer (M&E Industry/ Level C/ SIC)

• Experienced Safety Officer / Senior Safety Officer to support M&E project operations across industrial engineering sites. The role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and driving a strong safety culture across all site activities.
• Overseeing high-risk M&E works including electrical installations, mechanical works, piping, and equipment installation in a fast-paced project environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct daily site safety inspections across M&E project works
• Ensure compliance with WSH Act, site regulations, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems
• Monitor high-risk activities including lifting operations, hot works, electrical works, and confined space entry
• Conduct and lead toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and site inductions for workers and subcontractors
• Review and implement Risk Assessments (RA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Safe Work Procedures (SWP)
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe practices; provide corrective and preventive action recommendations
• Maintain and enforce proper use of PPE and safe work practices on site
• Liaise closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients on all safety matters
• Prepare and maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
• Support internal and external audits, including regulatory inspections
• Mentor junior safety personnel (for senior level candidates)

Requirements

• WSQ Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level C / Safety Officer certification or equivalent)
• Strong experience in M&E, construction, engineering, or industrial project environments
• Minimum 3–8 years of relevant site safety experience
• Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations and PTW systems
• Experience managing high-risk works (lifting, electrical, hot works, confined space)
• Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills
• Able to work independently in a site-based environment
• Candidates with WSHO registration will have an added advantage
