IT Sales Account Manager – Software Solutions & Managed Services
Department: Sales & Business Development
Reports To: Sales Director / Head of Sales
Job Summary:
We are seeking a driven and experienced IT Sales Account Manager with a background in both software solution sales and IT managed services. This role is responsible for managing and expanding enterprise accounts by delivering value-driven technology solutions and services. The ideal candidate combines deep understanding of customer needs with the ability to sell complex software offerings and IT service models in a consultative, strategic manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Software & Managed Services Sales
Manage a strategic sales pipeline ranging from $1M and above, spanning enterprise software solutions and IT managed services.
Drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities for both software products and managed service offerings to increase customer value and solution adoption.
Collaborate with technical and service delivery teams to develop tailored proposals addressing customer pain points across infrastructure, cloud, security, and end-user services.
Lead client engagements from initial qualification through to proposal, negotiation, and closure.
Structure and negotiate contracts for licensing, subscription models, and managed services agreements aligned to customer objectives.
Maintain high levels of client satisfaction by ensuring smooth onboarding, delivery coordination, and long-term relationship development.
New Business Development & Strategic Growth
Identify and develop new enterprise opportunities through proactive outreach, partner collaboration, and targeted industry campaigns.
Support go-to-market initiatives for software platforms and managed service bundles tailored to government and enterprise clients.
Leverage strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance offerings and expand into new accounts.
Deliver compelling presentations, product demos, and tailored solution overviews for key stakeholders and decision-makers.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in B2B IT sales, with demonstrated success in software solution and managed services sales.
Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and close deals in both public and private sectors.
Familiarity with CRM and sales enablement tools for tracking and pipeline management.
Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and strategic account planning skills.
Preferred Experience:
Background in selling SaaS, PaaS, and managed IT services (e.g., end-user support, cloud infrastructure, security services).
Experience working within the Microsoft ecosystem (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, Dynamics) or equivalent enterprise platforms.
Familiarity with government and enterprise industries including regulatory, compliance, and procurement processes.
Understanding of emerging technologies such as AI, automation, and cloud-native solutions in enterprise IT.
