We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate Director - Liquidity Commercialisation
The role is to be responsible for the development and execution of liquidity product propositions to enhance HSBC’s market share and profile as a prominent liquidity management player in Singapore and regionally. The role is focused on domestic Singapore (SG) and regionally Asia Pacific (ASP) integrated liquidity and investment solutions, which requires close collaboration with other Liquidity team members and across Global Payments Solutions (GPS) to ensure consistent and comprehensive positioning of our approach in the market.
To be successful in the role, the job holder must have commercial acumen and the interpersonal skills to develop relationships with GPS Sales and Corporate Banking (CIB) Relationship Managers (RMs) in order to develop market-driven solutions. The role will also be responsible for Singapore and regional ASP market reviews and analysis, client segmentation and other initiatives aimed at developing new and profitable business.
In this role you will
Business Impact
- Support SG domestic and ASP regional deals involving liquidity and investment products (Request ForProposals, client prospecting, expanding solution set of existing clients)
- Lead commercialisation activity of our digital propositions. Supporting client demos, marketing campaigns, partnering with RMs/Sales/Client Management teams
- Produce thought leadership articles and client facing collateral on liquidity management market themes – client case studies, testimonials, industry award submissions
- Run campaigns to commercialise our Liquidity Product set. This includes participation in industry events, partnering with Marketing teams for client events, webinars, client electronic direct mail.
- Identify and translate opportunities into new business revenues for the Bank. This includes deal pipeline management, analysis of client portfolios across segments to identify opportunities, close collaboration with GPS Sales and RM stakeholders
- Work closely with the Liquidity Product Management teams on the development and rollout of the assigned products within ASP regionally.Promote the profile of HSBC as a prominent liquidity management specialist through media and marketing initiatives.
Customers
- Effectively support the enhancement and positioning of liquidity propositions, in close partnership with other parts of GPS and external clients.
- Work with GPS Sales and CIB RM’s regionally to best understand the market requirements and translate these into the liquidity solution.
Operational Effectiveness & Control
- Conduct customer analysis to determine performance statistics and implementation success.
- Monitor and manage regional implementation to ensure consistency of approach and methodology.
- Work with countries and facilitate sales/product teams to deliver appropriate market driven solutions.
To be successful you will need
- Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. client facing banking functions such as corporate banking relationship management or sales
- Experience of building and managing complex solutions and relationships with significant customers
- Relevant product knowledge including solid expertise in cash management and specifically exposure to liquidity management (cash pooling) and investment products (deposits, money market funds)
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
- Built effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same
- Familiarity with product management methodologies and disciplines to monitor and execute product development plans
- Mandarin speaker to facilitate business and conversations with Chinese Clients.
- Preferably Representatives Notification Framework (RNF) license holder (if not, the candidate will need to qualify during their probation period)
