Quantity Surveyor

Aevo Builder Pte Ltd is a subsidary of Ad-Evo Pte Ltd which is an established interior design-and-build company specialising in commercial interior fit-out works for restaurants, retail outlets and offices. With our in-house design team, project team, skilled workers, electricians and carpentry workshop, we provide complete design-and-build services from concept to project completion.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage tender costing, procurement, project cost control, progress claims and final accounts.
Key responsibilities
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Carry out quantity take-off and prepare bills of quantities, cost estimates, tender submissions and client quotations.
- Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare quotation comparisons and negotiate prices, terms and scopes of work.
- Develop project budgets and cost plans before project commencement.
- Monitor committed costs, actual costs, project cash flow and expected profit margins.
- Prepare and submit progress claims to clients, consultants and main contractors.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier claims and recommend payments.
- Prepare, track and substantiate variation orders.
- Maintain proper records of site instructions, design changes, additional works and omitted works.
- Assist with subcontract preparation, purchase orders and award recommendations.
- Prepare project cost reports and update management on cost overruns or commercial risks.
- Work closely with the design, project and site teams to ensure that the project is completed within budget.
- Attend site meetings, tender briefings and site inspections when required.
- Negotiate and close final accounts with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Maintain and update the company’s material, subcontractor and labour cost database.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Preferably 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in interior fit-out, renovation or construction.
- Experience in landed residential and commercial projects such as restaurants, retail shops and offices will be advantageous.
- Able to understand architectural, interior design and M&E drawings.
- Knowledge of tendering, procurement, progress claims, variation orders and final accounts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and microsoft project.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam or other quantity take-off software will be advantageous.
- Good negotiation, communication and documentation skills.
- Able to work independently and coordinate with different project stakeholders.
- Meticulous, responsible and commercially aware.
