PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The purpose of the Visual Merchandising & Marketing Specialist is to create attractive visual displays in retail outlets. They make shops look the way they do, using their creativity to enhance the aesthetic appeal of window displays, walkways, counters, and in-store displays.
The main objective is to increase sales and capture consumer attention, capitalizing on the human tendency to ‘window-shop.’ Displays are frequently changed to promote new product launches and reflect festive or seasonal themes, such as Christmas, spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Visual Merchandising
- Plan, execute and oversee all window and in-store visual merchandising displays, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, optimal traffic flow and customer experience.
- Study store floorplans to understand aesthetics and maximize visual impact.
- Ensure merchandise is consistently presented to the highest visual standards.
- Provide guidance to Brand Ambassadors on merchandise arrangement and visual standards.
- Provide design ideas for displays and develop corresponding floor plans to guide effective execution.
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure compliance with visual merchandising, zoning and brand guidelines.
- Coordinate with local procurement teams and vendors to acquire display materials, props and fixtures.
- Optimize retail space utilization across all stores to enhance customer experience and sales performance.
- Manage inventory of props and visual merchandising tools, ensuring proper storage and organization of dismantled displays.
- Prepare and provide artwork, proposals and visual display guidelines for trade approvals and internal use.
- Coordinate with landlords, mall management, vendors and contractors to facilitate repair and maintenance works, permits and approvals for store setups and visual installations.
Retail Marketing
- Manage the production of marketing collaterals in connection with various product launches and promotional initiatives.
- Support atrium and pop-up activations across department stores and malls, coordinating with internal stakeholders, mall management and vendors to ensure smooth execution while maintaining brand and safety standards.
- Conduct ongoing marketing materials performance analysis and reporting.
- Manage social media accounts in accordance with regional guidelines and content calendars.
- Assist in the planning and execution of in-store activations, pop-ups and events when needed.
- Prepare photo and feedback reports for campaigns and activations.
- Coordinate with landlords, mall management, vendors and contractors to facilitate permits and approvals for activations.
- Support operational processes, including Purchase Requisitions, quotations and vendor invoicing.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Visual Merchandising within the retail, fashion, lifestyle, or consumer goods industry in Singapore.
-Hands-on experience in planning and executing window displays, in-store merchandising, and retail activations.
-Good understanding of visual merchandising principles, retail space planning, and customer journey optimization.
-Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office applications.
-Experience working with regional or multinational organizations is preferred.
-Prior experience in fashion, lingerie, apparel, or related retail sectors would be advantageous.
-Adaptable, resourceful, and willing to take ownership of projects.
-Willingness to travel for store visits as required.
