Job Summary
You will develop and win new clients, focusing on Korean funds and family offices setting up in Singapore. Act as the liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop target clients including fund managers, asset management firms, and high-net-worth families considering or committed to establishing funds (VCC) or family office structures in Singapore, with emphasis on Korean clients
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline to convert prospects into clients
- Engage decision-makers such as founders, CIOs, and family principals to understand their objectives related to structuring, tax incentives, compliance, and timing
- Serve as the primary contact during onboarding by coordinating KYC/AML due diligence and liaising with internal operations, compliance, and fund accounting teams to ensure seamless client integration
- Attend wealth management, family office, and fund industry events to expand and maintain a targeted professional network
- Monitor market trends and MAS regulatory developments and communicate insights to inform product and pricing strategies
Required competencies and certifications
- Proficiency in Korean (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) to effectively engage Korean clients
- Fluent English communication skills for daily work interactions
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in banking, financial services, fund services, or cross-border business development
- Knowledge of fund structures, Singapore’s MAS regulatory environment, and family office operations
- Strong client relationship management and negotiation skills demonstrated through successful face-to-face, cross-border business development
- Willingness to travel as required
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Existing professional network among asset managers, family offices, private banks, or accounting/law firms
- Familiarity with Singapore VCC structures and 13O / 13U tax incentive schemes
- Practical experience in AML/KYC or regulatory reporting processes
- Degree in economics or finance
