Job Summary
We are seeking a highly driven and hands-on Retail & Event Operations Manager to oversee daily retail operations, manage brand stores, and execute exhibitions, roadshows, shopping mall pop-ups, and other sales events. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales performance, ensuring operational excellence, managing event execution, and maintaining strong customer experiences across all retail touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations of brand stores, ensuring compliance with company standards, SOPs, visual merchandising, and customer service requirements.
- Monitor store sales performance and implement action plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Ensure accurate sales transactions, cash handling, payment reconciliation, and timely reporting of store performance.
- Manage inventory levels, stock replenishment, stock transfers, and inventory accuracy across retail locations.
- Coordinate store opening, renovation, relocation, and closure projects with relevant stakeholders.
Event & Exhibition Management
- Plan, organize, and execute exhibitions, trade shows, roadshows, shopping mall pop-ups, and promotional events.
- Coordinate with mall management, event organizers, contractors, logistics providers, and vendors to ensure smooth event setup and operations.
- Lead event teams to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer experiences during events.
- Monitor event performance, analyze sales results, and provide post-event reports with recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure all event operations, payments, collections, and documentation are properly managed and reconciled.
Team Leadership & Training
- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate retail promoters, sales associates, and event staff.
- Conduct regular coaching on product knowledge, sales techniques, customer engagement, and brand standards.
- Develop staff schedules and manpower planning to support retail stores and events effectively.
Sales & Business Performance
- Track and analyze sales trends, customer behavior, and promotional effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales conversion, customer acquisition, and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with marketing, e-commerce, finance, and logistics teams to support overall business objectives.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare regular sales, operational, inventory, and event performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and operational procedures.
- Drive the adoption of digital tools and systems to improve retail and event productivity.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Retail Management, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in retail operations, event management, exhibitions, roadshows, or consumer electronics/FMCG industries.
- Proven experience managing retail stores and achieving sales targets.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays during events.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and retail management systems.
- Experience managing shopping mall pop-ups, exhibitions, and large-scale promotional events will be an advantage.
