KITCHEN ASSISTANT

Responsibilities
- Assist in meal preparation, chopping vegetables, preparing meats, and making sauces as required by the chef
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen, clean prep areas and take care of leftovers
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
- Help with kitchen inventory and processing deliveries
- Work effectively within a team to ensure efficiency in the kitchen
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
Requirements and skills
- Previous experience as a kitchen assistant or similar role
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
- Manual dexterity able to handle kitchen utensils and appliances
- Strong team working and communication skills
- Physical strength and endurance to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
