Locum - Perm Staff Nurse (Oncology, Central, 5 days Office Hours) - HWX

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and supportive treatments in accordance with established clinical protocols and nursing standards.
• Administer systemic anti-cancer therapies, supportive medications, intravenous infusions, injections, and other prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
• Monitor patients during and after treatment for adverse drug reactions, infusion-related events, and treatment side effects, escalating concerns promptly to the medical team.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, medication regimens, symptom management, potential side effects, and follow-up care requirements.
• Coordinate patient appointments, treatment schedules, referrals, investigations, and multidisciplinary care plans to support continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation, treatment records, and medication administration records in compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Ensure adherence to infection control practices, medication safety standards, chemotherapy handling guidelines, and workplace safety requirements.
• Perform venepuncture, intravenous cannulation, blood specimen collection, and central venous access device care as required.
• Support emergency response and management of oncology-related complications, including hypersensitivity reactions and medical emergencies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, staff training, and continuing professional development activities to enhance patient outcomes and service excellence.

Requirements:

• min. Diploma in Nursing / Degree in Nursing
• Fully registered with SNB
• Able to perform cannulation and venipuncture
• Able to start work immediately or within short notice
