Job Summary

Join WHALE CLOUD as a Sales Manager to lead telecom IT presales, design customer solutions, and drive business growth across Southeast Asia through technical expertise and strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead telecom IT BSS/OSS presales by creating and delivering technical presentations and documentation tailored to telecom customers
  • Collaborate with industry business unit leaders to develop channel business, achieve sales quotas, and provide weekly pipeline and forecast reports
  • Analyze customer requirements to design and propose solutions that address their specific needs
  • Develop detailed proposals, business case analyses, statements of work, and tender documents to support sales efforts
  • Write reports and coordinate with production teams to resolve issues and implement effective solutions
  • Simplify complex technical concepts during product demonstrations and post-sales support to enhance customer understanding
  • Participate actively in sales meetings, product seminars, and exhibitions to promote products and expand market presence
  • Manage sales orders, negotiate contract terms, finalize agreements, and oversee sales collections
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with existing clients and engage new clients to expand sales territories
  • Travel within Southeast Asia to provide technical support during tendering processes

Required competencies and certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the telecom industry or equivalent role
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, client services, development, executive management, and product teams to meet business objectives
  • Knowledge of Telecom BSS/OSS and cloud-based solution design for verticals such as e-commerce, finance, and resorts
  • Strong customer service skills demonstrated by delivering effective support and solutions to clients
  • Analytical skills applied to assess customer needs and develop tailored proposals
  • Excellent organizational, research, and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Willingness to travel internationally within Southeast Asia for technical support during tendering

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Ability to converse and read in Mandarin, supporting communication with regional clients and partners
