Overview

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineering Manager to lead the design, modernization, and operation of enterprise infrastructure platforms across hybrid cloud environments. This leadership role is responsible for driving cloud transformation, infrastructure automation, platform reliability, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices while managing high-performing engineering teams supporting mission-critical systems.

The ideal candidate will possess over 15 years of infrastructure engineering experience with a proven track record of leading large-scale cloud transformation initiatives, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and delivering highly available platforms within enterprise or financial services environments.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Platform Engineering

  • Lead the architecture, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise infrastructure platforms.

  • Design scalable hybrid cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and on-premise infrastructure.

  • Develop infrastructure strategies aligned with business and technology roadmaps.

  • Drive platform modernization initiatives leveraging cloud-native technologies and automation.

Engineering Leadership

  • Lead and mentor cross-functional Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, and SRE teams.

  • Build high-performing engineering teams through coaching, technical leadership, and career development.

  • Foster an Automation-First and DevOps culture across infrastructure operations.

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Security, and Operations teams to deliver strategic technology initiatives.

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)

  • Establish and drive SRE best practices across enterprise platforms.

  • Define Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Error Budget frameworks.

  • Improve platform reliability, resiliency, and operational excellence.

  • Lead major incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement initiatives.

Cloud & Infrastructure Automation

  • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible.

  • Develop automation frameworks utilizing Python, PowerShell, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Standardize infrastructure deployment, configuration management, and lifecycle automation.

  • Eliminate manual operational processes through intelligent automation and orchestration.

Cloud Technologies

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure across:

    • Amazon Web Services (AWS)

    • Microsoft Azure

    • Hybrid Cloud environments

  • Support cloud migration, modernization, governance, and optimization initiatives.

  • Implement secure and scalable cloud architectures following industry best practices.

Virtualization & End User Platforms

  • Manage enterprise virtualization platforms including:

    • VMware vSphere

    • VMware Horizon VDI

    • Microsoft Hyper-V

    • Citrix

  • Drive VDI transformation and desktop virtualization initiatives.

  • Ensure high availability and optimal performance of virtual infrastructure.

Observability & Monitoring

  • Develop enterprise observability platforms utilizing:

    • Grafana

    • Prometheus

    • Splunk

    • Elasticsearch

    • AppDynamics

  • Build proactive monitoring, alerting, and self-healing capabilities.

  • Drive operational excellence through performance analytics and infrastructure visibility.

Security & Governance

  • Implement infrastructure security aligned with Zero Trust architecture principles.

  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security, governance, and regulatory standards.

  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to strengthen infrastructure resilience and risk management.

  • Support audit and compliance activities across infrastructure platforms.

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with senior technology leaders, business stakeholders, and vendors to define infrastructure strategy.

  • Manage technology roadmaps, project delivery, budgeting, and resource planning.

  • Present infrastructure initiatives and technical recommendations to senior management.

Requirements

Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or Enterprise Systems.

  • At least 5 years of experience managing technical engineering teams.

  • Proven experience supporting mission-critical enterprise environments.

  • Financial services or highly regulated industry experience is highly preferred.
