Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of local and Western cuisine according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Oversee and manage a designated kitchen section to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Ensure food is prepared, presented, and served consistently to restaurant standards.
  • Monitor food quality, portion control, and plating presentation.
  • Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal menu updates.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels and assist with inventory control and stock ordering.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of food products in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Train, guide, and supervise junior kitchen staff and commis chefs.
  • Coordinate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation during service periods.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations and equipment.
  • Adhere to all workplace safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • Support banquet, private dining, and special event operations when required.
