Join the opening team of Staple, an exciting new fast-casual bowl concept built around fresh, hearty, and fully customizable meals designed for the modern workday. Operated as a distinct concept within the group, Staple has its own dedicated team and identity.
We are seeking a skilled and driven Kitchen Crew - who is responsible for supporting daily food preparation, cooking, assembly, packing, cleaning, and service execution at Staple.
This role is hands-on and important to the speed, consistency, and reliability of the outlet.
As Staple operates on a QSR model, Kitchen Crew must be able to work quickly, follow SOPs closely, maintain cleanliness, and support high-volume service with accuracy and discipline.
Key Responsibilities
1. Food Preparation
· Prepare ingredients according to recipes and prep lists.
· Wash, cut, portion, cook, and store ingredients properly.
· Assist with preparation of proteins, grains, vegetables, sauces, toppings, and other menu components.
· Follow proper food handling and storage procedures.
2. Order Assembly & Service
· Assemble food items according to Staple’s SOPs and portioning guide.
· Ensure orders are accurate, presentable, and packed correctly.
· Support dine-in, takeaway, and delivery orders.
· Work quickly and carefully during peak periods.
3. Cleaning & Hygiene
· Keep workstations clean and organised.
· Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
· Wash and sanitise tools, equipment, and surfaces.
· Maintain proper personal hygiene and food safety standards.
· Assist with opening and closing duties.
4. Stock & Wastage Support
· Follow FIFO when handling ingredients.
· Label and store food items correctly.
· Inform supervisors of low stock, spoiled items, or quality issues.
· Avoid over-portioning and unnecessary wastage.
· Assist with stock organisation when required.
5. Teamwork
· Support different stations as assigned.
· Follow instructions from Senior Supervisor and Outlet Manager.
· Work cooperatively with the team during prep, service, and closing.
· Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
Requirements
· Prior kitchen experience is required.
· Experience in QSR, café, takeaway, salad bowl, or fast casual environment is a plus.
· Able to stand for long hours and work in a fast-paced environment.
· Willing to learn and follow SOPs.
· Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
· Basic food hygiene certificate preferred.
