Business Development Manager (Rebar / BRC Mesh / Cut & Bend)

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to expand our Reinforcement Steel business in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and promoting our range of Reinforcement Steel products, including Rebar, BRC Mesh and Cut & Bend services.

Applicants with experience in the Singapore construction industry and strong professional relationships with contractors, developers, consultants and project stakeholders are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within Singapore's construction industry.
  • Promote and market Reinforcement Steel products, including Rebar, BRC Mesh and Cut & Bend services.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with contractors, developers, consultants and construction material buyers.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and commercial terms, and follow up on sales opportunities.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from enquiry, quotation, order confirmation to project completion.
  • Coordinate closely with estimating, production, logistics and operations teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and project opportunities.
  • Attend project meetings, site visits and customer meetings when required.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and submit regular sales reports to management.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and after-sales support.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales or business development experience in the construction materials or reinforcement steel industry.
  • Knowledge of Rebar, BRC Mesh, Cut & Bend or related construction materials will be an advantage.
  • Familiar with Singapore construction market and tendering process.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently.
  • Good problem-solving and relationship management skills.
  • Possess a valid Class 3 driving licence and own transport will be an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Established professional network within Singapore's construction industry.
  • Experience working with Main Contractors, RC Contractors, Developers, Consultants or Precast companies.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and business growth.
