System Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from various stakeholders, translating them into technical specifications and functional designs.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments for new system enhancements and projects.
  • Design and propose system solutions, including data models, process flows, and integration points, aligning with architectural standards and security policies.
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
  • Provide support to develop and execute test plans, test cases, and testings to ensure the quality and reliability of delivered solutions.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing systems, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including user manuals, technical specifications, and training materials.
  • Participate in project planning, estimation, and risk management activities.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders such as project managers, developers, testers, and other IT professionals to ensure project success.
  • Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, policies, and quality standards.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in system analysis and design.
  • Assist in training end-users on new or enhanced system functionalities.

Requirements

· Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

· At least 6years’ relevant experience preferably in a Finance Institution.

· Proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirements.

· Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

· Proficiency in creating system documentation, including use cases, flowcharts, and data models.

· Experience with various system analysis tools and techniques.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

· Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

· Familiarity with banking products, services, and regulatory requirements is highly desirable.

· Experience with SQL and database concepts is a plus.

Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP) is an advantage
