Job Summary
The Business Development Senior Manager drives business growth by identifying and evaluating new market opportunities, sourcing investments, and managing strategic partnerships across Singapore and regional markets.
Responsibilities
- Support management in formulating and implementing business growth strategies aligned with the Company's strategic objectives
- Conduct market research, sector studies, and competitive analysis to inform decision-making and identify growth opportunities
- Identify new markets, sectors, and business models that align with strategic priorities
- Provide timely insights on industry developments, market risks, and growth opportunities to guide business expansion
- Source, assess, and recommend investment opportunities to enhance portfolio diversification across Singapore and regional markets
- Perform preliminary screening, market research, commercial assessment, and financial analysis of potential investments
- Coordinate due diligence activities and prepare investment proposals, business cases, and recommendation papers for management and Board review
- Initiate and manage preliminary discussions with target companies, potential partners, and relevant stakeholders to advance business opportunities
- Support negotiations related to acquisitions, investments, collaborations, and joint ventures
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with business owners, investors, industry partners, government agencies, and other key stakeholders
- Work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams to achieve business development goals
- Communicate complex analyses and recommendations effectively through presentations and stakeholder engagement
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in business development, investment sourcing, investment evaluation, mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, or related commercial functions in Singapore and/or regional markets
- Proven track record in identifying, sourcing, and evaluating investment opportunities, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, acquisitions, or new business ventures
- Strong capability in conducting market research, financial analysis, valuation assessments, commercial due diligence, and investment feasibility studies
- Experience in supporting or leading commercial negotiations, transaction structuring, due diligence processes, and post-investment monitoring
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience within Singapore and exposure to regional markets across Southeast Asia
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
